Easter Egg-Stravaganza
Sat., April 19 • 10am • Lynn Creek Park • 5610 Lake Ridge Pkwy.
Children 10 and under will hunt for thousands of eggs and prizes. Kids will be divided into three age groups (5 years & under, 6-8 years, 9-10 years) in three different hunts beginning at 10am. The Easter Bunny, Easter arts and crafts, bounce houses and other entertainment will be featured. Event admission is FREE with proof of city residency or $10 per carload.

Main Street Fest - Featuring Roger Creager!

The City of Grand Prairie Parks, Arts and Recreation Department is hosting the 3rd Annual Main Street Fest, scheduled for April 25-26th on the 200 block of W. Main Street and surrounding areas.

Along with our selected performers, the festival will celebrate the fun, festive, family atmosphere of Grand Prairie with LIVE! music featuring a headline performance from Roger Creager, spectacular BMX/Skate Street Shows, Local Entertainment, Carnival, Arts & Crafts, Food and Beer Garden, a KIDZONE and so much more!

Farmers Market Opens Saturday, March 29
Saturdays beginning March 29 •  8am-1pm • 120 W. Main St.
Look for an exciting re-opening in spring 2014 at Market Square, 120 W. Lynn Creek Park opens for the season on March 1. Hours of operation are 6 a.m.-10 p.m. Lynn Creek Park, 5610 Lake Ridge Parkway, has more than 100 individual picnic pavilions, a playground, swimming beach, boat ramps, sand volleyball, and plenty of open space to toss the football. The Walnut Creek Paddling Trali at Joe Pool Lake, brought to you by The City of Grand Prairie Parks & Recreation Department and the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, is a 4.9-mile marked trail that winds though Loyd Park on Joe Pool Lake. The scenic trail features a variety of native plants and wildlife. Don’t have the right equipment? Don’t worry – Canoes, kayaks, paddles and life vests are available for rent at the park. Disc Golf Mini-Tournaments at Turner Park
A brand new 18-hole disc golf course is opwn at Turner Park.
